    The name Byton do you probably said nothing. And yet, this young chinese company has the intention to revolutionize the automotive world. Nothing less.

    At the Consumer Electronics Show, which takes place this week in Las Vegas, Byton launched the concept of a new vehicle that is both electric, self-contained, and ridiculously techno.

    Techno of the kind that the car is full screen, which is a dashboard that absolutely immense 49-inch, another in the middle of the steering wheel and two at the rear, to avoid that the passengers are bored.

    Oh, and the car starts thanks to a facial recognition system.

    “We are convinced that the future of mobility lies not in the improvement of performance. We will replace the cylinders and the horsepower by the connectivity and the technology you care about. By doing this, we create the next generation of smart device: the car,” explains Byton on its web site.

    What we want, basically, is make you forget that you are in a car and allow you to relax as if you would in your own living room. The idea is noble, but the challenges are daunting.

    Cash to start the production of its first car as early as next year at a base price of around US$ 45,000, Byton intends to offer two variants of its vehicle: a rear-wheel drive and the other with a double engine that allows a cog-wheel drive. It is envisaged that a battery life of at least 400 kilometres.
