True Detective : the series returns to his first love in the first trailer for season 3

HBO has just struck a blow by unveiling the first trailer for one of his creations the most expected : True Detective season 3.

After a season 2 hosted to hits of grenades (and quite unfairly we believe, in spite of the flaws some), HBO has long hesitated to confirm this third season, which reminds you of different aspects of the adventures of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The survey, located in Arkansas, will take place over thirty years, and will require many back-and-forth temporal, while the policeman in his head will prove to be a man eminently tortured.

To embody, Nic Pizzolatto, who performs here the half of the season, has chosen Mahershala Ali, who will be joined by Carmen Ejogo, Scoot McNairy, or even Stephen Dorff. The series is expected for the month of January on HBO, and as is revealed in this trailer, introduction, the show seems always also mastered visually.

Acclaim after the first season, harshly criticized at the end of the second, Nic Pizzolatto is here expected at the turn. The writer became showrunner is not deemed to be easy (this is an understatement) and will have been due to the patience of Cary Fukunaga, the director of the episodes of the first season and craftsman clear of its aesthetic success.

Gold and the excellent Jeremy Saulnier was to put in scene the half of the episodes of season 3, the filmmaker had left the project after only two episodes, officially due to a banal problem of employment of the time. He was replaced at short notice by Daniel Sackheim, an old hand of the series past by The Americans, X-Files, The Leftovers , or Ozark. Hope that this defection will not augur any serious problems of design.
