The new adaptation of the comics flagship of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons is accurate in more folds, and we very much want to watch it.
If Watchmen is back on the front of the stage, it is above all thanks to the film by Zack Snyder which was released in 2009 and which has received many positive reviews from the press and spectators of the time. But well before that the director of Sucker Punch poses his hands on the work cult of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, this is Terry Gilliam who had hoped to one day make a feature film.
However, due to the density of the original work, the filmmaker had been a little bit afraid of the challenge. In sum, it was, of course, that one day the clique of Watchmen was going to be reborn as a new day. In series, for example ?
“Do you think they will be up to the task ?”
To make it briefly, the chain HBO has, therefore, unveiled in June 2017 as a series Watchmen would see the light of day and that Damon Lindelof (The Leftovers) would be the showrunner. Provided in the casting : Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Tim Blake Nelson, Adelaide Clemens, Don Johnson. The very beautiful world, therefore, all the more that there is also a duo iconic for the original soundtrack of the series. In short, everything to please.
The chain of american television is poised to begin the promotion of his new production, since it comes to open the account Instagram is dedicated to his new series. As a bonus, the chain reveals a first image exclusive of its series.

Which shows us a police officer in uniform, three quarter and head down, wearing a yellow mask covering half of his face. A clue hinting at the next coming of Rorschach ? In short, nothing crazy but at least it proves that the series is back on track.
Note: according to HBO, Watchmen will not be a reading “faithful” of the comics. Damon Lindelof had stated that this will not in any case an adaptation to direct the work of Alan Moore. The series takes place in an alternate world where super-heroes would clearly not welcome and would be treated as vulgar off-the-law. Arrival scheduled for 2019 on HBO.
“Yeah well, you must excuse but we prefer to wait for the first teaser”
