The CIA and the 7th art, it is a long story that definitely does not finish to write. Evidenced by the new production Netflix : Wormwood.
There are many films on the dark hours of the CIA. Largest independent organization of against-espionage of the world, the agency is a bottomless pit of stories more twisted and kafkaiennes each other. There is no need to create scenarios of any room, it is enough to draw in the past and you will find real nuggets story.
Among the many cases that the CIA has, Netflix is attack, this time on the experiments, LSD and other controls of the spirit of the CIA on a population not necessarily consensual. Directed by Errol Morris, who made a specialty of investigative reporting of any kind (we particularly recommend The Thin Blue Line on a sentenced to life imprisonment for a crime he did not commit, or The Fog of War, Oscar in the best documentary 2004 on behind the scenes of american politics of the 60’s), Wormwood blend of fiction and testimonies on the excesses of an agency, sometimes representative, but also above the law.
Entitled Project MK-Ultra, the code name referred to the secret project paralegal to develop the techniques of mental manipulation, by having recourse, among other things, to the products of syntheses now illegal.
The mini-series of six episodes will also include the testimony of one of the descendants of the victims of these experiments more than borderlines…
With Peter Sarsgaard for a release date on December 15.
