With P!nk, the Backstreet Boys, Metallica, the Who and all the other big names that have rocked Quebec for eleven nights, the summer Festival has reached the top of the mountain in 2017. What are the results to plot an event in which the cruising speed was never as high as in this year’s edition 50th anniversary ? Here are our comments.

High expectations

In the last fifteen years, the motto is not an official was ” Always bigger “. Yet, more than ever, in 2017, the programming of the summer Festival could compare to those big events like Coachella or Glastonbury, and has even surpassed the poster Bonnaroo in decline.

For the future, the people of Quebec will expect nothing less than another parade of big names. Luckily, there are tons on the market, starting with Coldplay, U2 and Eminem, that are called for each year.

It has long been alleged that the FEQ cautious on the Plains, to the detriment of the stars of the current indie.

This year, the director of the programming has focused on Gorillaz, a name which rang no bell for many festival-goers.

However, the popular response has been more than acceptable, and the curious who have tried their luck emerged from the Plains conquered. There is a bonanza to be tapped. When Florence and the Machine ?

The front area of the stage

Kendrick Lamar and Danny Brown have semoncés. The same problem has also resurfaced in the past few years. Too often, the artists on the Plains are faced with two audiences in the antipodes.
