A Tesla Model S 100D was able to browse more than 1000 kilometers with a single charge.
Made by a group of Italian owners of vehicles of the brand
Tesla, this feat broke a record, and pushes a psychological limit.
Achieving this goal will not have been of any rest. In fact, five drivers took turns, for a total of 29 hours. In total, they have managed to browse 1078 kilometres before the battery is exhausted. This distance is 506 km more than the autonomy announced by Tesla for a 100D which travels at 100 km/h.
Throughout this journey, these électromobilistes italians have rode at an average speed of 40 km/h. according To their calculations, this speed represented the ideal compromise between the energy spent and the distance traveled with that energy.
With the exception of the installation of tires with low resistance, the
Tesla Model S 100D has not undergone any change. Of course, the air conditioning was not running.
To ensure that the car is not recharged in the course of the road, the hatch which gives access to the plug has been sealed before the start.
Proud to see the brilliance of the cars produced by the company at the head of which he found himself, Elon Musk has shared his excitement on Twitter.
Officially verified as the first production electric car to exceed 1,000 kilometers on a single charge! Congratulations Tesla Owners Italia!! https://t.co/r8fFZIFEP2
