IPad: Despite a drop in sales, it remains number 1

Techno 10 February, 2017

It is a fact: the tablets do not work as much as before. Despite this, the iPad remains at the top and number 1 of sales against its competitors!
With smartphones of ever larger proportions and full of features, new technology enthusiasts have said bye-bye to the tablets. Yet, only one model makes resistance: the Apple iPad. Strategy Analytics and IDC, two leading analyst firms, have just released new figures on tablet sales . And the least we can say is that it is not famous! To begin with, according to IDC, the number of tablets sold – all brands combined – decreased by 20.1%. The iPad, with three new tablets expected to see the light in 2017 , nevertheless shows a decline of 19% compared to the first quarter of 2015 despite its leading position.
Despite this rather significant decrease, the iPad remains number one of sales against its competitors . Samsung has for example lost ground with -20.5% between 2015 and today. Even in the tablet market, the two giants remain formidable competitors! Lenovo (which introduced its Yoga A12, an ultrabook convertible tablet) will have sold 3.7 million tablets and Huawei 3.2 million. Two figures rather encouraging for these two firms. You will understand: the American remains in good position, the South Korean follows just behind while the two Chinese are rather good. It remains to be seen whether the tablets will reconquer buyers. What do you think of these figures?
