The rumor had been launched there almost a year, it is confirmed Charmed will come back.

With the time, we had been deeply disappointed that the series Charmed had become. Very inspired by Dangerous Alliance at the base, Charmed featured female characters strong and complex, plots admittedly simplistic, but very entertaining and a fantastic potential quite interesting.

Unfortunately it quickly turned into a caricature of itself, vampirisée by his actresses, ultra-narcissistic, its scenarios rubbish, which pumped everything that was in fashion at the time, and in the end, it was not as bad as the series ends in 2006.

Here it is.

But as the saying goes, “what is death never sleeps” and in this period of reboot, remake and other revival (that’s a lot of stuff in “re”, which is never a good sign), it was feared that a producer of unscrupulous had the idea of digging up the sisters Halliwell. And this is obviously what happened since last year we announced the project of a reboot.

The difference, however, that the new series is envisaged from the angle of the prequel, since she had to be in the 70s to, in the end, reconnect to the original series. Of course, there was more to be heard of for a year. It was thought that the project had been abandoned, and, of course, we had completely wrong.

So good…

Variety thus comes to officially announce that the CW had indeed ordered the implementation of a pilot of the new series, Charmed, with the difference that, contrary to what was expected at the base, this new version will not play in 1976, but nowadays, thus releasing the next prequel and guides the project from the side of the reboot. Still, nothing is less sure, so many old tv series to see suites that flourish today with the same actors that at the time. It is hoped, however, that this is not the last option that was chosen because our minds are still fragile and we are clearly not ready to find the frangines Halliwell.

One true bright spot in all this slump, the pilot is written by Jennie Urman, creator of the very nice Jane the Virgin, which gave us a little hope. However, take your time eh, we are not in a hurry.

How do you say…
