The Lord of the rings : Peter Jackson confirms he will not participate in the development of the series

The series of the Lord of the rings is still ongoing, but one thing is for sure, it will not come with his father to adoption : Peter Jackson.

For some time, the rumors around of a series in the universe of the Lord of the rings moved about, to finally become a reality. According to initial indications, the show would highlight the youth of Aragorn. Surely when he left his country to undertake a journey to Middle-Earth and wander like a vagabond up to find Frodo and Sam.

Then, it was the turn of the iconic Ian McKellen to come out of the shadows. The interpreter of the legendary Gandalf, had announced that if the role was again proposed, he would agree to resume his dress, of a sorcerer. In the Face of so much enthusiasm on the part of fans, other rumors started that Peter Jackson could take over the reins of the project.

The micro Allociné, Peter Jackson, in a little promotion for his new film, Mortal Engines, has confirmed that it would not be in the production of the series :

“I’m not involved at all on the series of the Lord of the rings. I understand that my name can be quoted, but there is nothing happening with me on this project.”

This rumor also showed the possibility that Jackson is involved in a project obscure in DC and Warner :

“This is not true. I have not had discussions on this subject. I’m not a fan of comics, I have never read, and therefore it does not interest me particularly to adapting a film. This is not true at all. A film DC and the series the Lord of The rings, it is done without me, but it suits me. I have many other projects that occupy my time !”

Peter Jackson, who produced a television film documentary on the First world War on the occasion of the commemorations of the centenary of the armistice of 1918, will unveil the 12th of December next Mortal Engines. A long-futuristic film that he wrote and produced.
