Bad pick for fans of the series Marvel cancelled by Netflix, they will not be part of the catalogue of the opening of the streaming platform, Disney +.

It’s been almost two weeks that the cancellation of Daredevil has been announced, some time after that ofIron Fist and Luke Cage and, if he will have to wait at least 2020 to see them land on the streaming platform, Disney +, we don’t even know if the hero will resume the service</strong>. Jessica Jones, meanwhile, has not yet been cancelled, but if it is, then it will take at least 2021 for the review.

We learned in the columns of Variety that the contract between Marvel and Netflix, signed in 2013, includes a provision by which the characters of these four sets appear in a series or a movie other than Netflix, prior to two years after their cancellation. This contract included Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, four heroes met in 2017 in the mini-series The Defenders, it also is void.

Between Daredevil who does not see too much where it all leads…

And if some fans eagerly await the return of these series and their probable result on Disney +, there is nothing to indicate that Marvel wants to pick up where Netflix left. Worse, nothing would require the studio to keep the same actors, or to resume the same hero for the league The Defenders.

For The Playlist, Marvel would be able to do totally the opposite :

“Marvel had already planned to wait, to take its distances and not to enter these characters on Disney + in a series of new but which would remain unchanged (to Netflix), and now we know that they have to wait a few years. In addition, the contracts are such that there is very little chance that actors like Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter… return to their roles on Disney +, because they must literally be recastés, renegotiated their contract and start all over again. “

… and Iron Fist, who no longer knows what type of punch…

As Disney + will soon be launched and that Netflix has a cemetery Marvel, it also poses questions on the future of The Punisher. The series is not part of the same agreement that the series of the universe of The Defenders, and despite a second season announced for January 2019, it would seem, also, is a sword of Damocles above the head.

Unfortunately it is all a guess since Marvel and Netflix refuse to talk about it.

The fourth phase of Marvel is going to start and, with it, the opportunity to test new configurations for Disney. Between Loki, The Scarlet Witch (who will perhaps even the right to the presence of Vision) and The Falcon and the Soldier of the winter, not to mention the series of the Star Wars universe that have already been announced, the future of the streaming platform has plenty of projects in his bag. Case to follow…

… there is more that Loki is happy
