A first tweet, posted on Monday December 26 by the verified account @SonyMusicGlobal has announced the death of the performer of Toxic : ” RIP Britney Spears 1981-2016. ” A few minutes after this shock announcement, retweeted nearly 3000 times a second tweet brought clarification: the star and mother of two boys reportedly died in an accident. This message is shared nearly 4,000 times.
Half an hour after this sad announcement, the account of the record publishes a message explaining that an unusual activity was detected and that it could have been pirated. Another specific message, IP address in support, that Sony Music Global has been hacked from the United States.

In the wake, a CNN reporter, Anne Claire Stapleton, tweets in turn that the representative of the singer confirmed to the American news channel that Britney Spears is going well and that Sony Music tweeted her death by mistake.
For now, the record company refuses to comment but she apologized and confirmed that the singer was alive and well.
It is still very early in the United States, not sure the woman is aware. Britney Spears, who just released remixes of Slumber Party , the last single from the album Glory , may wish to reassure his fans turn.
