While George R. R. Martin has promised the fans for more than two years the imminent publication of the next volume of Game of Thrones, its publication is still pending.
After plenty of ads that are inaccurate, cancellations or postponements, the noise of the corridor, often whimsical, have begun to circulate about the future of the saga’s literary origin of the series to global success. It must be said that its author, anything but a socialite 2.0 a follower of the communication, did nothing to reassure the fans by lack of texts.
Suddenly, George R. R. Martin has split on its own site, entitled Not a Blog, a message in which he explains where he is writing the next adventures of the clan Stark, Lannister and the dragons of Daenerys.
“Wait, I have a surprise”
“And yes, I know that you want new from The Winds of Winter. I have read articles really bizarre about this on the Internet in recent times, the share of “journalists” inventing stories out of nowhere.
I don’t know what is the rumor the more absurd, the one that says that the book is completed and that I keep before me for some shameful reason, or the one that explains that I haven’t written a single line. Both of these “information” are also fake and stupid.
I’m still working and I’m still months (how many ? Excellent question), there are good days and bad days, and that is all that matters to me. That Winds of Winter or the first volume of Fire and Blood is the first to arrive in the bookstore is hard to determine for the moment, but I think you’ll have a book of Westeros on my part in 2018… And who knows, may-be two. One can always dream. “
“Now, I have good information provided.”
Surprisingly, those who wonder what direction will the original work may be for their expenses, as the prequel (on which account no doubt HBO for her own series spin-off) may appear before the continuation of his saga canonical. Not sure that all readers appreciate.
But perhaps should we see this pace of release chaotic the difficulty of the exercise which must comply with the author. While HBO is made to invent a conclusion to Game of Thrones, it is necessarily complex for the writer, even when he was involved in the creative process, to find what the distance is to adopt in relation to adaptation, when, and why to walk away from it, or otherwise how to snap.
Anyway, a long period of gestation has never prevented the success of major literary works, as evidenced by The Dark Tower.
