An online pharmacy Newpharma, analysed the searches made on the Internet by the French, on the 12 000 medicines and remedies identified by the national security Agency of medicines (MSNA).

Results : what are the psychotropic drugs (anxiolytics, antidepressants, sleeping pills) that arrive at the head of the families of drugs most searched on the net in France, with more than a quarter of the research to them only. They are followed by cures against digestive disorders. If these data do not necessarily mean that people buy and use these products, they indicate the ” level of anxiety is important in France “, points out Mike Vandenhooft, CEO Newpharma.

Indeed, the French seem to suffer mainly of the head and the digestive tract. Stress, sleep, depression, heartburn, diarrhea concentrated the major part of the research.

Amoxicillin, Tramadol and Lévothyrox

In the ranking of the drugs individual of the most sought after on the web, Amoxicillin, an antibiotic used to fight bacterial infections, comes in in the first place (84 480 searches per month). Tramadol (84 020), a painkiller, comes second, followed by the Lévothyrox (67 460), which recently found itself under the spotlight due to changes in its composition.

The new formula of this drug has been on the market since the end of march, and since then, some patients complain of side effects – headache, dizziness, cramps or hair loss. The change of formula had been requested by the MSNA in order to improve the stability of the drug at the time.
