EXCLUDED – Woody Allen reacts to the case of Weinstein: “I’m not proud of my son” – Gala
scandal
Woody Allen begins the promotion of his new film, Wonder Wheel on the bottom of the case, Weinstein and denunciation of the sexual scandals in Hollywood. The director himself has been accused, in 2014, sexual abuse of his daughter Dylan. Our correspondent in Los Angeles, Hervé Tropéa questioned him on the subject…
Already ten days that the case, Weinstein makes a lot of noise. The boss of Miramax, then the Weinstein company, is accused of having harassed and raped many women over the past thirty years. Since then, he has been ousted from his company, would be left in ashes, and detoxification. We learned also the last weekend that Weinstein has been excluded from the Academy of the oscars – the films that he had products have won not less than 80 statuettes. Since the revelation of the scandal, many women, including victims decided to speak out on the matter, denouncing the passage the hypocrisy that reigns in Hollywood on the dominance of women.
The one by whom the scandal, which revealed the affair in the columns of the New Yorker, evidence to support, is no other than Ronan Farrow, the son that Woody Allen had with Mia Farrow. He had already published a violent tribune against his father in 2016, accusing him of abuse of his sister Dylan, accusing the world of cinema to close his eyes on his morals questionable, and in particular the fact of having married another of his sisters, adoptive, Soon-Yi.
In the margins of the promotion of his film” Wonder Wheel, “Woody Allen has expressed on this matter. The question: “Are you proud of your son for his report on Harvey Weinstein?” Woody Allen responds bluntly: “No, I’m not proud of. I think that this story about Harvey Weinstein is very sad. It is tragic for the poor women involved, and it is sad for Harvey, because his life is completely turned upside down. I think that this story on him was only good for the New York Times and the New Yorker, but the whole situation is very sad for everyone. There are no winners in this case.”
Ronan Farrow seems in any case not close to letting go of this story, he has a topic daily on NBC titled Undercover with Ronan Farrow , where he treats of subjects in which “no one talks”…
