Jean-Marie Périer and Johnny Hallyday are very old friends. They met in 1962 during a photo shoot, while the idol of the young was only 19 years old. The announcement of the death of the rocker, the photographer did not wish to react. A month later, however, he has decided to entrust to our brothers in the Serengo.
Jean-Marie Périer and Johnny Hallyday met at a photo shoot in 1962. The photographer had been chosen to take a picture of the idol of the young, aged only 19, for the famous magazine of the time, Salut les copains. A meeting that will mark the two men : they will eventually become very close friends. Has the death of the rocker on the 6th of December last, Jean-Marie Périer had been very sought after by journalists. Silent, the photographer had decided not to react to the disappearance of his friend.
A month after his death, Jean-Marie Périer has nevertheless decided to get out of his silence. “When Johnny died, I refused 102 interviews in one week. I had decided not to say a word. Now that the madness has settled, I can speak ” has been assigned to the photographer to our confreres Serengo. About his friend’, Jean-Marie Périer, remembers : “It was a type wonder, who has made his education and built his culture alone. He was really intelligent, with a sense of the people incredible.”
Friends for 50 years, Jean-Marie Périer is remembered with fondness the sense of humor that could have Johnny Hallyday.” He had a sense of humor crazy. Nobody was making fun of Johnny Hallyday as himself. The Horns can go get dressed. But to see what Johnny there, he had to be alone with him. As soon as a third person came in, he did his number. Its character depended on the people he had in front of him. Between guys, it was a joke dude. But if Sylvie Vartan entered the room, he was able to say : “Hey ! you not speak like that in front of my wife ! ” remembered the photographer. Away by life and distance, Jean-Marie Périer and Johnny Hallyday had, however, never ceased to give news. Far from Paris, living in Aveyron, the photographer continued to receive emails from his friend ‘ before his sad demise in December last year.
