On August 2, 1992, Michel Berger, companion and father of two children with singer France Gall, dies of a heart attack at his residence in Ramatuelle, in the south of France, at the age of 44 years.

25 years after the tragedy, which marked the life of France Gall with the seal of the ordeal, the press attaché of the artist Grégoire Colard told France on Sunday, how it was dark and a little enthusiastic about the future : “It was good to have thousands of groupies, it was very lonely in reality. I was the only shoulder he could cry, the only man to whom he could entrust his misery : the illness of his daughter, the death of his elder brother finally defeated by multiple sclerosis, the disappearances of his friends Balavoine and Coluche”. On August 2, 1992 in his home in Ramatuelle, in the south of France, Michel Berger, who was convinced to die young, died of a massive heart attack at the age of 44 years.

It is since buried at the Montmartre cemetery in Paris. Its burial chamber, where also rests the body of his daughter Pauline who succumbed to cystic fibrosis, is composed of a glass house, in which are reflected the rays of the sun. In the 29th division, the tall blades of glass surround a marble floor, on which are engraved the names Pauline Hamburger 1978-1997… Michel Berger 1947-1992.

This Sunday, France Gall, wife of Michel Berger and mother of Pauline, died at the age of 70 years.
