You spoke in August of last year, the Karate Kid returns. Not the remake in 2010 with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. No, no, the real one, of 1984. And it becomes a tv series.

It was feared this moment more than any, because Karate Kidis one of the big movies of our childhood and we didn’t want Hollywood touching it with his big paws all fat. Moreover, we said that it was good, it had already done in 2010 with the very nice, The Karate Kid, so he would leave the franchise alone.

Frankly, it was really nice

But it was without counting on the time in which we now live, desperately looking to the past, because the future is pinball, and that will be reassuring in what was vibrating from the time she was still young, and therefore, not responsible. Last August, we were talking to you about the project of tv series around Karate Kid. A direct sequel of the film from 1984, always with Ralph Macchio as Daniel-San, but also William Zabka, who would resume his role of Johnny Lawrence, rival.

Most importantly, do not laugh

An idea a little far-fetched but very real, as we discover today the first teaser. The series is thus called Cobra Kai , and lies of our days with Daniel and Johnny any old who believe that they can still do martial arts. Daniel is going rather well but Johnny was very poor. His defeat there in over 30 years has ruined his life and he tries to get back to the dojo Cobra Kai to take his hand, knowing that a new confrontation between the two will be inevitable.

So yes, it is any con, it is said that Johnny actually has a life of shit if a simple compet’ karate the fucks in the air, and when we see them appear on the dojo, we want to laugh. But, I don’t know why, it works when even a minimum, you want to see more. And it’s just as well, since the series will be broadcast exclusively on Youtube Red later in the year. Until then, we review our technique of the crane.

Hop, on the job !
