James Wan producer adds a project horror to a very long list of genre films.

James Wan will he breathe ? Annabelle : the Creation of The Evil in cinemas this month, a new Saw called Jigsaw in November, the reboot of Resident Evil without Paul Anderson and Milla Jovovich, Insidious : Chapter 4 expected in January 2018, a third episode of Conjuring and the spin-off devoted to The Nun and The Crooked Man… If he is busy as a producer on the blockbuster Aquaman, in theaters in December 2018, James Wan the producer does not stop.

Proof : The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the director of Fast & Furious 7 , and Insidious will produce a horror movie called Malignant, in collaboration with the Fox.

A project that looks particularly interesting for two reasons. The first is the story, from the comic Malignant Man, co-created by James Wan himself. Malignant is centered on a man, Alan Gates, condemned to die because of a terminal cancer. Except that he discovered that cancer cells are actually a mysterious parasite extraterreste, which protects it and gives them powers worthy of a super-hero. He will use them to discover the origins of this entity alien, while confronting a secret society hidden among humanity.

The second : Malignant will be the second movie of Rebecca Thomas, and very noticeable with the beautiful Electrick Children 2012. This drama beautifully filmed did not expect a turn towards the genre, but the presence of the filmmaker in the season 2 of Stranger Things, though. Thomas participated in the second season of the highly anticipated, which will be aired from the 27th of October. A privilege since the series is almost entirely carried out by the brothers Duffer and Shawn Levy.

Rebecca Thomas replaces Brad Peyton, held on Rampage with Dwayne Johnson. The director is also attached to the new version of The Little Mermaid, Sofia Coppola has abandoned.
