The Arrowverse, expanded universe of DC on tv, going to change the head.

Case Weinstein, J+57 : another head rolls. You talked about two weeks ago : Andrew Kreisberg, showrunner and creator of the series Arrow and the Flash but also of Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (in collaboration with Greg Berlanti), had been made green by the studio Warner.

At the beginning of November, the writer and producer had been accused of sexual harassment (on the basis of touching and kissing, forced, requests for massage, and comment sexualisants moved) by a dozen people, men and women, employees are more or less close.

Andrew Kreisberg is not serene

But this time, according to The Wrap, the axe has fallen : he is fired. The press release from Warner is very clear and direct :

“After a diligent internal investigation, Warner Bros. Television Group has terminated the employment of Andrew Kreisberg, with immediate effect. We remain committed to the implementation of work areas safe for our employees and any person involved in our productions”.

The series Arrow

Following the allegations, therefore, there has been investigation, and decision. Greg Berlanti, a very close collaborator of Kreisberg including Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (and large n°2 of the DC universe, Arrowverse, on the small screen), is announced as temporary replacement. The series in and of themselves should not, therefore, be particularly disrupted. Good luck to him.

We don’t stop to say it, but every week the case of Weinstein continues to have a real impact on the business, projects and productions. What could have been a scandal in the isolated, mutated into a real groundswell that sweeps everything away in its path, breaks the omertas and releases the word. It is not possible to satisfy, and the présemption of innonce is paramount, but one can only encourage this process. Ladies and gentlemen of the victims, do not stop !

Courage, Greg, it’s going to be okay
