Johnny Hallyday leaves a considerable legacy – more than 1,000 recorded songs, many mansions, etc, A heritage to manage in a good manner, especially in a blended family like the one in the rocker, between his children, Laura Smet et David Hallyday, Jade and Joy, but also the mother of these last two, Laeticia Hallyday.

This is a point that could be tricky – but the beautiful union shown during the funeral and the burial suggest that there should not be any quarrel. What will become of the legacy of Johnny Hallyday, and how will it be managed ? If Laeticia Hallyday seems to be in the best position to take in hand the exploitation of the songs of her late husband and of her history (she has denied the existence of a musical), it is not the only one to have his say.

Laura Smet et David Hallyday are indeed “heirs of the moral” of their father. This means that without their consent, the image of Johnny Hallyday may not be used, regardless of the medium. Biographies, films, tracing the existence of Johnny, cups, or caps bearing the effigy of the rocker : nothing can be created without that they will give their green light, even if Laeticia Hallyday and her daughters Jade and Joy are asking for it by weighing all their weight.

We should not, however, attend a war of the clans – the different parts of the family of Johnny Hallyday, who are not always together, stay very united since the death of the rocker. All and all will have to make the best tribute possible to the old idol of the young, with the greatest of respect.
