Disenchanted : the new series from the creator of the Simpsons reveals a trailer for this funny and acid

If The Simpsons are in automatic mode since a big fifteen years, being more or less become what they were criticizing to the base, their importance, as it is, is not to question. So when their dad offers us a new series, it has every right to be super excited.

And it is true that the legendary Matt Groening had been rather secretive lately. This is easily understood, since in reality, he was working like crazy on his new series. After the American Way of Life of Simpson and the science-fiction of the extraordinary Futurama, Groening invites us in a world of Fantasy with Disenchanted.

Bean, Luci and Elfo

Produced and streamed on Netflix as of 17 August, the series had not for the moment showed only a few things. A teaser, a few illustrations, and then basta. But, it is what it is, it’s sent already to the dream. One could therefore expect that a real trailer will be presented at Comic-Con over the weekend, and this is indeed what happened.

Disillusioned thus invites us to follow the adventures of Bean, a rebellious princess, destined to be married by force and who, of course, is not really agree. In a male world, obscurantist and cruel, the girl carried well on the bottle will, therefore, attempt to get into the trunk to escape his fate. By the way, she is going to meet Luci, a little demon in charge of bringing them to the dark side, and Elfo, an elf who is a bit fed up of living in his world, golden and sweet.

The trailer, very effective, allows us to find the style of Matt Groening in a version a little more refined than usual, but that has all intrinsic qualities. The character design is particularly interesting how the classic and the tone seems much darker than usual, which will not surprise those who have followed Futurama in full, and had quickly understood that behind the humour well moron was hiding a background damn melancholic. No reason to change here, and indeed the series does not hide his game as it announces the colour as its title.

In short, it augurs the best and it will be necessary, for our part, wait for the 7 August, the date on which the embargo will be lifted, so that we can tell you what we thought.
