Reunited with Johnny Hallyday for the tour of the Old Canaille, Eddy, Mitchell paid tribute to his friend, who had to fight against the cancer.

With his friends Jacques Dutronc and Eddy Mitchell, he has delivered amazing performances on stage to the needs of the tours of the Old Scoundrels. A series of concerts have to be difficult for the ‘ suffering from lung cancer and who has had to fight against the disease, supporting the same sessions of chemotherapy which began in may last year. The news is now reassuring for the star of 74 years and Eddy Mitchell wished to congratulate his friend for his determination.

Anxious for Johnny Hallyday, the singer has hailed the character and temper of the one who went on stage in spite of the fatigue. “That is to say that he is very sick but the orchestra was starting up and him, he would come on stage. All the people who have participated in this tour, have had a large movement of respect for Johnny because it was really a battle all day,” has entrusted the interpreter of On the road to Memphis and The Last session.

Eddy Mitchell came in to promote his new album titled The Same tribe, a disc commemorating his greatest hits, re-recorded for the occasion with friends from the star : Johnny Hallyday, Laurent Voulzy, Pascal Obispo, Alain Souchon, Julien Clerc, Renaud, Christophe, Sanseverino, Maxime Le Forestier, Michel Jonasz, Arno, Calogero, the duo Brigitte and Thomas Dutronc. A luxury casting for an album release scheduled for November 10.
