Advantage of Brussels to find his bride on the day of their 10th wedding anniversary, Emmanuel Macron, has organised a romantic evening in one of the residences of the president of the Republic: the flag of the Lantern, at Versailles.
Friday, October 20, Emmanuel Macron was supposed to spend the day in Brussels where there was a meeting of the european Council. As was the Gala, the president of the Republic, however, has left Belgium and reached Paris, where he has been able to join his wife and celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. Rather than relying on a fancy restaurant in the capital, Emmanuel Macron and his wife have preferred to put the cap on the flag of the Lantern, the residence of a State contiguous to the park of the château de Versailles. The couple was able to celebrate his wedding anniversary tin shelter from prying eyes, in this old hunting lodge built in 1787.
Since coming to power in may 2017, Emmanuel Macron, has never hidden his affection for the Lantern. The president of the Republic has already made more than once in the company of his wife. The family of this last, once the election campaign is won, there is also convened in order to take advantage of the time intimate, far short of the target of journalists.
If there was a president of the Republic in whose heart the Lantern will forever retain a place of choice, yet it is Nicolas Sarkozy. The first time he goes on site, it is at the invitation of a Prime minister. The pavilion is at the time regarded as being at the disposal of the tenant of Matignon. This will all change very fast. Fallen under the charm of the place, Nicolas Sarkozy multiplies the visits and takes its habits. At this point, also, that in February 2008, it is here that he organizes the celebration of his marriage to the singer Carla Bruni. Also there, he spends his wedding night. The predecessor of François Hollande a-t-he advised the Lantern as an ideal haven of peace to Emmanuel Macron? It’s not impossible. After all, the two men would be in regular contact since their dinner at the Élysée palace in July 2017.
