For years, millions of readers have come to expect that George R. R. Martin finishes the next tom of Game of Thrones. And it does not seem won…
Cult author, became world-famous thanks to the global success of the HBO series adapted from his literary works, George R. R. Martin would still be employed in a 6th volume, that readers have come to expect for years, but that nobody sees it coming.
It must be said that the novelist is in a complicated situation, innovative, or even inextricable. Leaving the HBO series of him grilling the priority and be completed prior to his own work (the ultimate season will be released in a few months), he ran the risk of finding themselves cornered, conditioned by the narrative as the thought of the giant us cable. As he explained to the Guardian, the situation is not far away from the exceed.
George R. R. Martin
“The Winds of Winter is not so much a novel as a dozen novels, each with a different protagonist, each hosting a number of secondary characters, antagonists, allies and lovers, and all of this is confronted with the chronology according to an organization extremely complex. “
But in the end, it may not be this complexity that weighs the most to the author.
“The series has reached such popularity, the novels have been so popular, so well received, that every time that I get to work, I am very aware that I must accomplish something great, and try it is a weight too terrible to bear. “
Hope that the end of the show’s flagship HBO will allow Martin to complete his great work. Otherwise, the series Nightflyers, also adapted from his work, will be available on Netflix on December 2, 2018.
