While waiting for the release of Game of Thrones’ season 7 on HBO, fill up with news about the upcoming spin-offs!
While yesterday we revealed the reasons why the end of Game of Thrones is already on the internet , today we propose to know a little more about the spin-offs in preparation at HBO. The channel has indeed confirmed that the adventure would not end there for the creation of George RR Martin and as much to tell you that we are already looking forward to seeing all this on a small screen. The author of the saga has unveiled a lot of new information on his blog , starting with the fact that it is not four but five spin-offs that are in preparation, and five screenwriters to work on each of the scripts. He also pointed out that each of the concepts under discussion was a prequel, so we already know that we will not know what ” It happens after Game of Thrones . “Some may not be held in Westeros,” he added. With such an extended world, you will be told that we would like to learn a little more about the other continents of the universe of George RR Martin.
Moreover the author explained that none of the prequels would talk about Dunk and Egg, aka Duncan the Great and his squire Aegon V Targaryen . “We all know how slow I am at writing, and how fast the series go fast, I do not want to repeat what happened with Game of Thrones and see the series go beyond books . ” For it still has at least 7 or 8 new ones to add to the adventures of Dunk and the Egg, one understands then its reticences and this rather wise choice. Finally George RR Martin also ruled out the possibility of seeing the rebellion of Robert Barathon adapted to the screen although it is also a popular idea.
Finally it is also known that neither Kit Harington (Jon Snow) nor Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) will be part of the prequels . Indeed Kit Harington’s agents have already explained that he was not approached to play in a spin-off while Emilia Clarke thinks spin-offs based on anything other than the Daenerys story would be more interesting . Add to that the fact that we also know that David Benioff and Dan Weiss will not work on it either, and we already get a lot of information for series that will not land on our small screens for several years. It is emphasized that having five pilot scripts does not mean that there will necessarily be five series since all the drivers will probably not be chosen. In spite of all this we make beautiful series in perspective and we can not wait to learn more about the projects developed. Until then, find out how security has been reinforced around Game of Thrones’ season 7 to avoid spoilers . What do you think of this news?
