Cinema 27 July, 2017

You thought you knew everything about episode 2 of season 7 of Game of Thrones? Lost ! We explain to you a key scene of “Stormborn” …

We were told that Euron would be the great villain of this season 7 of Game of Thrones and frankly, his beginnings are more than promising. After provoking and teasing the Lannister in the Season Premiere, the ruler of the Iron Islands showed us he was a terrible fighter! In the final scene of episode 2, Euron and his fleet made one mouthful of the Dany team carried by Yara, Theon and Ellaria. A masterly and particularly bloody fight that we thought we had totally understood … But that was before doing a little tour on Reddit and falling on the die-hard fans of Game of Thrones.

Euron attacked the Sand Snakes after beating Yara. A scene now cult of episode 2 of season 7 of Game of Thrones in which Theon, supposed to protect his sister, failed to overcome his fear and preferred to jump in the fleet. But a detail of the conclusion of “Stormborn” may have escaped you. While Euron provokes Theon, the latter looks around and discovers all the cruelty of his uncle’s men. But what we could take for simple torture is actually much more than that …

In the book of George R. Martin, Euron’s ship, Silence, is filled with men whom the King of the Iron Islands recovered and mutilated during his raids. The tactic of Euron? Cut out their tongue so they can not communicate with each other and try anything against him … Charming! Euron is well on his way to join Joffrey and Ramsay on the podium of the biggest sadists of the show HBO … We can not wait to find him Sunday night for episode 3 of season 7 of Game of Thrones which , We remind you, will be broadcast on OCS simultaneously with the US.
