Game of Thrones season 8: Cersei will not be killed by SPOILER, but why?

Cinema 25 February, 2017

Pending the release of Game of Thrones season 7, we continue to speculate on what to expect at the end of the series.
The questions continue to await the return of Jon Snow, Arya Stark and the others and while we were wondering recently if we were going to discover in season 8 of Game of Thrones that the Stark are the bad guys in history , Today it is in Cersei that we are interested. As we know, Cersei Lannister is at the heart of a prophecy pronounced by Maggy the Frog when she was a child . In the books of George RR Martin, this prophecy states that Cersei will be married to the king, that she will be dethroned by a queen younger and more beautiful than herself, that she will live longer than her three children, Will die from the hands of the “valonqar”, “little brother” in Upper Valyrian. In the Game of Thrones series however, this last element is set aside as any other allusion to this part of the prophecy. The hatred that Cersei vows to his younger Tyrion is mainly explained by the fact that their mother died after birth.
How often in the series, some elements of the books are set aside to simplify the plot somewhat and this is probably why the valonqar was not evoked. One can therefore imagine, since Tyrion is the “suspect” evident in the books, that there is little chance that it is he who will kill Cersei in the rest of the series. Obviously the possibility still exists, and it is also possible that Cersei survives – even if we doubt it – but there is little chance that Tyrion will fulfill a non-existent prophecy in the universe of the series . The prophecies have always been quite mysterious anyway and one wonders if what happens to Cersei does not happen just because Maggy has warned her and that she tried to avoid it … Moreover, some theories are already interested in another potential killer for Cersei: his twin brother Jaime. The latter seems to be aware of the destructive spiral in which Cersei has engaged and he could make a radical decision to stop the massacre. While waiting to know how – and if – Cersei will die, Sophie Turner has already confirmed the survival of Sansa Stark until Game of Thrones season 8. What do you think ?
