Game of Thrones season 8: Will the last season be longer than expected?

Time passes and questions continue on the end of the adaptation of George RR Martin’s novels. As some of you know, Game of Thrones has not yet been officially renewed for a season 8 for a simple reason: HBO does not yet know how many episodes will make up the final season of its flagship series. After Season 7 and its seven episodes, it was originally planned that Season 8 be composed of six episodes to finish telling the story. That could change, however, as the director of programming at HBO has already explained that David Benioff and Dan Weiss were still planning the end of the series . It must be said that for some time now, both showrunners continue to adapt the saga without the support of the books and it is therefore difficult to estimate the number of episodes that it will still take to Finish telling the long story of Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and others. Given the complexity of George RR Martin’s universe and the many arcs of the characters, however, it is very possible for HBO to put pressure on David Benioff and Dan Weiss to add one or two episodes to Season 8 for offer an end worthy of the name . Moreover Iain Glen who plays Jorah Mormont has already stated that the series still had 15h before it and not 1pm, so this could mean that the last season will be longer than expected. In any case it will probably wait some time before a decision is taken and to wait until then, know that the first information about the filming of season 8 Game of Thrones have already fallen .
