In the continuity of its original programs and partnerships are unlikely, Netflix is offering us this time a series of thrillers made in Bollywood.

A few days ago we were talking to you about the partnership with Netflix/India, which would link to the first horror series in india. When a first poster has just been unveiled, it is the turn of a first trailer, short enough, to show more concretely what it’s going to speak. Even if in the state, the series does not seem to compete with hollywood productions, this small show made in Bollywood could well succeed to create a sensation on the web. And this, in part, thanks to Shah Rukh Khan, the essential star indian umbrella this small project.

The story, written and directed by Patrick Graham is inspired by the arabian folklore. Nida, a young woman freshly appointed interviewer has just denounce his father, activist, anti-government in order to plead his good faith to his superiors. In the meantime, the action follows a prisoner who will return to the situation during his interrogation…

The regulars of the platform, Netflix will find in the menu of this series, the actors, Manav Kaul and Radhika Apte, already present in The Lord of Bombay. The plan to reach more broadly the indian market will continue with Selection Day (the story of a young man in a cricket team) and Bard of Blood (a series of espionage).

Ghoul only consist of three episodes and will be produced by Blumhouse (the house behind Paranormal Activity, American Nightmare or even Get Out) in partnership with Ivanhoe Pictures and Phantom Films. The series will be released on the platform on the 24th of August next.
