Gray’s Anatomy: MerDer almost never existed!

Months before the broadcast of season 14 of Gray’s Anatomy, Shonda Rhimes made disturbing revelations on the series.
The revelations continue and after Shonda Rhimes explained that Alex Karev almost did not exist in Gray’s Anatomy , it is the mythical couple of Derek Shepherd and Meredith Gray that are interested. Besides, with a girl and a woman, Derek might not have given in to Meredith’s charms as easily. It may be that if Derek had had a daughter as Shonda Rhimes originally planned, the cult couple of the small screen would never have formed. Derek might have had more hesitation and Meredith might not have waited to meet someone else. Obviously, the most romantic ones may also think that even with a teenager, Derek would have fallen in love with Meredith and the couple would have formed well no matter what . In any case, we are very happy that things happened in spite of the tragic end of Derek.
