Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead: Back on the tightest fights!

Cinema 27 July, 2017

Grey’s Anatomy, The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries have sometimes been very scary! Back on the tightest matches of the competition.

It was the show 13 Reasons Why that won the 2017 World Cup despite the absolutely honorable track of The Vampire Diaries for its very last participation in the competition. At each stage of the tournament, the Netflix series has qualified hands down as well, so it was no surprise to see it win. However, we also had extremely tight matches where only a handful of voices divided the shows that faced each other. The Redac remembers the fights that marked the 2017 World Cup. First of all, during the group stages, Gray’s Anatomy found Arrow who had deprived him of the semi-finals last year. Meredith Gray and Oliver Queen have fought a real battle to get out of their group. It was finally the surgeon who managed to take revenge by imposing itself against the judge but only with a single small point ahead. Arrow also faced the Werewolves of Teen Wolf! This duel was extremely tight, Scott and his pack qualified with 51% of the vote against 49.

Gray’s Anatomy did not take it away after a disappointing season and took the lead throughout the competition. If the Shonda Rhimes medical series was considered a giant and should have crushed her opponents, she had great difficulty qualifying at every stage of the competition. The Pretty Little Liars gave Meredith Gray a hard time in the round of 16, while the werewolves of Teen Wolf almost missed out on the semi-finals. The Vampire Diaries finally managed to beat the surgeon right before the final. If we expected the ABC medical series to go far in the competition, his defeat against the Salvatore was not a big surprise. Indeed, the two brothers had already managed to defeat another giant of the tournament, The Walking Dead. The two shows ended up in the quarterfinals and offered us a very intense duel because only 4% separated the two competitors. Finally, the match of the final was also tight but 13 Reasons Why ended up flying to win the victory. We hope that we will have duels as interesting in the next edition!
