If you do not already know, today Harry Potter celebrates 20 years since June 26, 1997, the first volume of the saga, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) was published in the United -United. Although it took a little longer to discover the adventures of the most famous wizard in the world in France (November 16, 1998), June 26 is much like the anniversary of the beginning of a real event. Moreover, for the occasion Pottermore opens the first official reading club for fans of Harry Potter . To celebrate this day as it should be, We propose to you today to return to this first volume of the saga and especially by remembering the 5 moments of the books that we missed most when discovering the film a few years later. Obviously, there are more than 5 and we invite you to tell us the moments that you would have liked to see in the film. There is already the choice of the actors who disappointed many – one thinks in particular that Daniel Radcliffe has blue eyes and not green and that his hair is too well disciplined.
The Choice Song
Every year, before the beginning of the distribution of the new students in the four Houses of Hogwarts, the choice sounds a little song, generally to explain its role to each one. In the books, we had three songs of the choice – the other times Harry was not present at the time of the distribution. Unfortunately, in the Harry Potter movie at the Wizard School we did not have the pleasure of hearing this song, and it’s a shame!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 1
In the first film of the saga, Harry Potter meets Draco Malfoy for the first time in front of the Great Hall just before the distribution in the four Houses. But in the novel, Harry and Draco’s paths already intersect on Diagon Alley as they shop for Hogwarts . They are found at Madame Guipure’s and Malfoy’s is particularly unpleasant with Hagrid – as usual . Their second encounter takes place in the Hogwarts Express and it is on seeing Harry with Ron who tells him to choose his friends with more attention. Also, in the film, Malfoy will not challenge Harry into a duel to trap him and get him caught by Filch.

“You’ll see that some wizard families are better than others, Potter!”
The Mirror of Rised
When Harry finally discovers his parents in the mirror of Rised, it is one of the most touching moments of the saga, but in the book it is still somewhat different. Indeed, in the film, Harry can see his father and mother, while in the novel it is the whole Potter family who smiles at him and waves to him and we would have liked to see it!
The Norbert case
Hard to forget that moment when Harry, Ron and Hermione discover that Hagrid has adopted a dragon egg – while living in a wooden hut . In the film, Malfoy surprised the birth of Norbert, as he followed Harry and it was Dumbledore who would take care of sending Norbert to Romania where Ron’s brother, Charlie, took care of dragons. In the books, the plot is much longer since it is Ron, Hermione and Harry who take charge of contacting Charlie and to make appointment to him at the top of the Tower of Astronomy. Finally, Harry and Hermione go in two because Ron is in the infirmary because of a Norbert bite that caused his hand to swell considerably . If the two friends manage to give Norbert to Charlie,
The potions test
While Ron, Harry and Hermione are under the trap, after passing through Touffu, they have a lot of hardships left. However, not all of them are featured in the film because it lacks the potions test – Snape’s test – in which Hermione excels and proves to us once again how smart she is for her age . Unfortunately, we did not have the chance to see this in the film and it also lacks the troll, the last test before the arrival at the mirror, which is supposed to be already knocked out by Quirrell. What were the moments of the book that most missed you in the film?
