Hulu command an anthology of horror Blumhouse TV

The streaming platform Hulu continues to trace his furrow on the market with original content, and is addressing the horror, on the occasion of an interesting partnership…

You spoke a little while ago, the broadcaster online Hulu, with its 17 million subscribers, is more aggressive on the market from streaming and seems to want to pose as a serious competitor of Netflix, evidenced by the recent purchase of the rights to broadcasts of the cult series Lost. And to consolidate, there is nothing better than to diversify its catalogue for their nets as wide as possible. After the prestigious series at Emmys (The Handmaid”s Tale), and the series pop-culture/geek (Future Man, Runaways) it lacked was a content genre.

But this lack is being filled, since we learn that Hulu has ordered an anthology thrillers for Blumhouse, a specialist in horror cheap. If this name is not familiar, please be aware, however, that you have at least heard of what they do, since their breakthrough in 2009 with Paranormal Activity, they have produced a staggering amount of horror films popular : Get Out, The Visit, American Nightmare, Sinister , and then, of course, and especially Insidious and all suites. Blumhouse is also in charge of the upcoming reboot/remake thing widget for Halloween.

According to Variety, the series will consist of 12 episodes alone (but with some common elements), and the episodes will be broadcast at a rate of one to the beginning of each month. Some rumors say that each season will revolve around a different theme, but nothing is confirmed. No one is yet officially attached to the project, which has not name yet, but Hulu expects Blumhouse productions typical of what the box can do, namely products with a tight budget and quick turn, to profitability almost assured. What we do know, however, is that the first episode is expected to arrive very quickly, since it was dated in October 2018.
