Teen Kali Kushner has not been easy. Suffering from severe acne since 2014, the girl has long been a victim of teasing, and has struggled to assert itself.

At the age of 22 years old today, she tells the story on Instagram about how she has fought the acne using a treatment known as Accutane (Roaccutane in France). The photos of the before/after post to show his progress and above all try to raise awareness of this scourge which is affecting many teenagers, but also adults.

His account Instagram, My Face Story (the story of my face), is now followed by more than 27,000 people.

Used to treat the acne severe that are resistant to conventional treatment, Roccutane, however, remains controversial. In fact, he has been associated in the past with an increased risk of depression and psychological disorders. In pregnant women, it may also cause malformations of the fetus. In France, it is contraindicated during pregnancy and in women of childbearing age, in the absence of contraception.

Restore hope

For Kali Kushner, followed by loan by his dermatologist, the drug has played a vital role, which gradually disappear with his buttons in just a few months. After a year, she’s found a skin almost smooth, even though it continues to have a few breakouts from time to time.

However, his initiative was not intended to document the action of its processing, nor to become famous on social networks. The young girl wants, above all, the overcoming of prejudices, and for it, Instagram is simply the way to get there.

It has for example often been confronted with people who thought that acne was related to poor hygiene. Kali Kushner demonstrates that this is false – even taking care of herself, she did rid not. Only the dermatological treatment has brought a change, as its photos show.
