K 2000 : one knows, finally, who would play in the reboot in the cinema

For years, the rumors of making reboots a thing and remakes of K-2000 accumulate. And the last one is not bitten worms.

According to Screen Rant, the Weinstein Company is currently in the process of putting together a new version of the series, of which the conclusion has all the same 30 years. And if several attempts have failed in recent years, one can well understand why the license still attracts the attention of the producers.

First of all, K-2000, aka Knight Rider, belongs to the shows of the 80’s progressively become stotems of popular culture, either of the brands that the studios are very keen to exploit again, hoping to bring together a public that is already familiar with the product. Then, several successes have shown recently, the first of which are The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 , the figure of David Hasselhoff is still very popular. Therefore, everyone is wondering how to convert it to greenbacks.

Where the possible project to the Weinstein Company, which aimed to adapt the K-2000 in film, with John Cena and Kevin Hart. The first would be of course the driver of the car is talkative, while the second would ensure the dubbing of his I. A.

A possible choice of casting, which immediately gives the color of this project : to try to piggyback on the wave initiated by 21 Jump Street, which was suggested to Hollywood that parodies rigolardes and meta cult series had of the future. After the failure of C. H. I. P. S. and Baywatch, nothing is less sure.
