The actor and singer fights against discrimination in his own way.
Marc Lavoine beyond projects and never ceases to amaze. Singer-songwriter and actor, the husband of Sarah Poniatowski is also renowned for its commitments in various associations and advocates many causes dear to his heart.
This year, he developed an idea that allows hospitalized children to continue their education while maintaining a social bond with their school and their peers. This concept involves the development of a connected satchel . A tablet placed in the hospital room is connected to a second one in the classroom. It is equipped with two cameras and microphones that allow the pupil to follow the teacher’s courses directly. During recess, the student can also discuss with his classmates.
The idea was born two years ago, when Marc Lavoine had visited the home of a Toulouse hospital. On the spot, the 54-year-old artist had met all those who could not leave their beds. His project was launched alongside two other partners, Raymond Domenech and Abdel Aissou, with whom he formed The Collective. The three colleagues also benefited from the support of Bibliothèques Sans Frontières and L’Étoile de Martin, an association that supports cancer research and accompanies sick children in their treatment.
For months, the three organizations worked side by side with technicians to set up the perfect system. Patrons and sponsors also provided financial support. According to Le Figaro , 250 copies are now ready to test large scale for the next school year. This week, Marc Lavoine was also visiting the Ministry of Education to present the final version. ” My briefcase logged reflected my commitment to reject all forms of discrimination. It also allows me to thank the hospital community mobilized against the suffering and isolation. With you we can go further “, said the singer in March on his Facebook account.
