Netflix has found its showrunner for the adaptation of The Witcher

When we talk about heroic fantasy, it is almost always the same references that come in mind : The lord of the rings, Conan the Barbarian, The cycle of Elric. But, more to the East, there is also a large fresco fantasy, entitled The Witcher.

All those who love video games, and we know they are many, we read, are not unaware of the existence of a trilogy of adventure games of which the last installment has broken the bank at the time of its release, The Witcher. Adapted from the Saga of The Witcher Andrzej The, this trilogy was introduced to the general public Geral De Riv, a witcher, wandering, slayer of demons, and the man with the heavy past into a breathtaking adventure.

While The Witcher 3 is still one of the big masterpieces of recent years, it is whispered in the last few months that Netflix was preparing in his corner, an adaptation for tv of the saga literature in eight volumes (available in France). It is today via the site’s Variety that we have today the confirmation since the network has just revealed the name of the person who officiera as showrunner.

It is, therefore, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, whose name will not tell you much, but that has participated in the recent series Daredevil and The Defenders, already for Netflix, which is in charge of writing the show while being one of the producers. Impossible for the moment to know who will play Geralt, or when the series will arrive on our screens, or if the program will resume the whole story from the beginning or adjust a volume, in particular, to begin with.

But what is sure, is that Netflix should once again create the event with The Witcher, saw the popularity of the brand, and we would very much like that passage this allows us to see a more official Wiedzmin, the series Polish that adapted already the adventures of the Witcher.
