After a season, Nightflyers, arrived with us on Netflix, is canceled by Syfy.

Just arrived, already shipped. Adapted from the novel The Volcryn of George R. R. Martin, became a movie in the 80’s, the series Nightflyers has been cancelled by Syfy after one season.

Created by Jeff Buhler, the series Nightflyers including Gretchen Mol and Eoin Macken, was developed by the american channel Syfy, but has been released on Netflix and in particular in France (since 1 February).

The series follows the crew of a ship, the last hope to save a Earth, in a dirty dead end in 2093 because of a virus. The team must establish a first contact with a race of alien, the Volcryns, in order to ask them for help. A long and dangerous one, which will of course turn to the disaster as shown in the intro scene.

Nightflyers could be a little fun fun, in the lineage ofOrigin, the series of Youtube Originals, the pitch is very similar (a group of people stranded on a ship with a threat of cosmic might drive them crazy). Except that the series Syfy was on arrival a nice nanar for us.

An opinion obviously shared by many spectators who have not been conquered, prompting Syfy to not order a season 2. Nightflyers was one of the largest budgets of the channel, with audiences very average and falling over the episodes.

Syfy will continue to draw its road SF with Killjoys (who still has a season), or Krypton.
