As you fret up the blood, waiting for the end of Game of Thrones, George R. R. Martin is already gone for a new project. Direction space.
George R. R. Martin is a busy man. While he still hasn’t finished the series fiction the most popular of all time of the years 2010, it’s already gone into operation seduction for the adaptation of his book horror Nightflyers.
Nightflyers is actually a novella (that is to say, a big news), published in 1980 in the US, and 1982 in France, under the title of Volcryn. The text is published only before going out in the framework of an anthology taking its title, and other news. Because of this, Nightflyers is an integral part of “The Universe of the Thousand Worlds” which includes several novels, all interconnected. This is only a guess, but there is no doubt that as time went by, the dad of Game of Thrones would like why not adapt his expanded universe on the small screen. Moreover, for the purposes for aficionados of science-fiction that you are, you probably know that the novel has already had an adaptation in the form of a feature film in 1987 by Robert Collector.
The guy weighs heavy in the film industry
To support George R. R. Martin in its task of executive producer we find Jeff Buhler screenplay, and Daniel Cerone as a showrunner. Distributed by SyFy US, the author has had no trouble afterwards to convince the giant VOD, Netflix, for caring for the dissemination abroad.
Two months after having revealed the first images of their new show, intergalactic, SyFy and Netflix today unveiled a new teaser that sets the tone : it is necessary not to trust anyone.
Claustrophobia, tension and mistrust are at an appointment while the ship seems to be enfonçer more in the blackness of darkness, the astral, and that the membes of the crew begin to doubt everything and everyone. The story will take place around nine scientists (Eoin Macken, Sam Strike, Maya Eshet, or Angus Sampson) in a spaceship in which their goal will be to locate the Volcryn, a starship mythical errerait in the area since time immemorial.
Except that, of course, the trip will not happen as planned. Then if we like it we makes it a bit like a mix between Alien and The Thing, George R. R. Martin himself rather think of ” a story of haunted house in a ship. This is Psychosis in space !”
Nightflyers will come out around the fall of 2018.
