Fitz thinks he needs to question Rowan, the master of manipulation probably had to hear or learn things about Peus. But Olivia’s father says he knows nothing and just wants to run away. The President accused him of collaborating with the enemy. The two men come to blows. Fortunately, Olivia is there to stop them. Rowan then advises him to leave David finds a series of packages sent to Rowan by Peus but Olivia has never heard of it. As for Cyrus, he tells the President that they can use the bluff with Samantha because she has no way of checking out what’s going on. Jake tells the young woman they captured Peus and it seems that it works because Samantha is ready to reveal everything in exchange for her immunity. Meanwhile, Olivia watches the surveillance videos and discovers that her father received 5kg packages that made him completely crazy. But why ? Mystery! While David brings the deal to Samantha (or rather Grace Dennis), the young woman asks if he would be ready to give her a second chance. The Attorney General reveals to him how much he hates it but it allows Samantha to understand that he bluffs about Peus and refuses to accept the deal. Later, Olivia assures Fitz that Rowan does not work with Peus. The President talks again with the father of his girlfriend. The latter reveals that a head weighs about 5 kg so he knew that if he did not do what Peus asked him, he would receive another box of 5kg with Olivia’s head. If Rowan is stubborn, he ends up changing his mind and asks to talk to Fitz. He thinks he knows how to make Samantha talk. When he arrives at the young woman’s cell, Rowan seizes the guard’s weapon and asks for the code to escape with Samantha through the tunnels. Olivia’s father wants to ensure her safety and freedom by releasing her. Uh … not that it’s part of the plan! Olivia is determined to fight but Mellie is even more to surrender. The crisis management expert reminds her that she is not a puppet and that the White House is her own, not Peus’s. As for Rowan, he makes sure he has an understanding for his freedom that his rival accepts. Olivia’s father hastens to join Fitz, He had promised the President to win the confidence of Samantha. Thanks to him, Jake is able to find Peus and eliminate him while Rowan himself takes charge of killing Samantha. It is a real relief for Mellie, Olivia, the characters of the series and even the viewers. “The Box” was a rather good episode in which Shonda Rhimes did not hesitate to treat two sensitive subjects with the characters of Rowan and Mellie: the oppression of African-Americans and the right of women. If Peus and Samantha were horrible characters, it is regrettable that they finally disappeared so quickly and so easily. We wanted to see more fighting! We are now in the vagueness. What is waiting for Olivia? Next week’s episode should teach us more. Meanwhile, discover the program of the week’s series! And you, what did you think of the episode 13 of the season 6 of Scandal?
