Star Wars The Last Jedi: Snoke little present in the movie?
If you thought you’d learn more about Snoke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, you’ll be disappointed! The Supreme Leader should eventually be little present in the film.
Star Wars: The Revival of the Force introduced the new characters of the third trilogy of the intergalactic saga and, with them, a whole host of intrigues raising themselves many questions. Of the kind: where does Rey come from? What happened to Luke? Why has Ben gone over to the dark side? And then there’s also this little question that we’re tapping about the other villain of the movies, namely, who the hell is Snoke ? We were hoping to have some answers in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Especially as the new details about the plot that were unveiled tended to make us think that the Supreme Leader of the First Order would have a greater impact in the second film. Except that in fact, we will have to make a reason. We will not immediately discover the real identity of Snoke before a while ! And this is confirmed by Rian Johnson himself.
David Kamp, a journalist with Vanity Fair magazine, who devoted his cover to Star Wars: The Last Jedi and who unveiled a whole list of unpublished photos , had the opportunity to ask the director about the role of Snoke. When asked about Reddit by a fan on the subject, the reporter reported the director’s response, saying: ” I asked Rian who or what Snoke was, and he was very frank in telling me that” He did not really explore Snoke’s character in The Last Jedi . ” Well, at least it has the merit of being clear. At the same time, it was not too much hope that the director would expand on the personality of the Supreme Leader. So there are two possibilities. Either Rian Johnson tries to lead us by boat making us believe that Snoke will not be very present in the film. This, in itself, would not be surprising. But we can also take his words for cash. After all, would not it be more interesting to learn who is actually Snoke in Star Wars 9 ? And it must be remembered that the Emperor Palpatine did not really discover himself until the end of the first trilogy. Star Wars: The Last Jedi must also explore the reasons that led Luke to go into exile, show us Rey’s training and make us follow Finn’s secret mission, and so will already have a lot to do. It will probably take very, very VERY patients, meltynauts, before seeing the Snoke mystery elucidated!
