Season 2 of Stranger Things will land on Netflix on the 27th of October and the days in between. And the series knows very well how to raise the pressure.

If there’s one thing that has made the success huge of Stranger Things to his arrival, it is, of course, its meticulous reconstitution of the early 80s, or rather the image we made at the time via all the productions Amblin. From this point of view, the series is a total success and, even today, it can be fun to dredge up the slightest of references.

Only, which changes with season 2, is that the surprise effect is past, and Stranger Things , therefore, has everything to prove. The real test begins now, as we do not doubt a second. The series can retain its magic ? Or not there will be an accumulation of clichés in the form of winks ? We confess to you that, if it is warm-hot to look at it, we still have some concerns about it.

And especially when you see how the marketing department at Netflix are back to raking in the old classics from our childhood for us to charm. After, such an approach is funny, because each week we got a new poster of Stranger Things pastichant a popular movie of the 80’s, even if we find it a bit easy and at the limit of the putassier. Indeed, rather than highlighting the mystery, the characters, the promises of season 2 or throw in a few images, well-chosen episode, we prefer to capitalize on the easy reference to the risk that this aspect of the communication outweighs the interest of the series.

But do not make our piss-cold as it is and let us enjoy the gifts that we receive. So today Stranger Things is the plays The Goonies with a new poster which contains, roughly speaking, the composition.
