The 100 Season 5: Will the cryogenic men returning from space attack Clarke?

Cinema 25 July, 2017

Season 5 of The 100 was revealed thanks to the Comic Con and we return on one information in particular.

While we have recently offered you a recap of all the Comic Con news on season 5 of The 100, today we come back to one of the things that were unveiled recently. The end of season 4 shows us an older Clarke after a jump in the time of 6 years, accompanied by a young Nightblood, Madi. While she is still trying to establish contact with Bellamy, she sees a ship arrive on Earth and is marked “prisoners”. Jason Rothenberg quickly explained that these were new characters and not Bellamy and others who would have found a new ship.

But thanks to the Comic Con on we know a little more about these new characters who could be the next enemies of Clarke and the others. They would be much older than anyone we know since they were on Earth before the first nuclear apocalypse. This means that they precede Abby, Jaha, Marcus and so Clarke, Bellamy and others. They could thus consider that the livable space of Earth is theirs and want to impose their rules by returning there. To protect themselves, they also went to the space where they apparently were cryogenized. It is a process already seen in science fiction but one wonders nevertheless whether the series signed CW will address the technical aspects or whether it will simply have to accept that a group of men have frozen to remain alive during years.
It is supposed that they wanted to preserve themselves long enough for the radiations of the first apocalypse to dissipate. It remains to be seen how they knew it was time to go down 6 years after the second. Were they already awake during all the adventures of the 100 on Earth? Why did the Ark never perceive their presence in space? And what are their intentions? So many questions we want answers but we assume that all this will remain rather vague since the series does not usually to delve into the technical details and privileges the intrigues. While waiting to find out, the blooper of season 4 of The 100 is available.
