If everyone touches the noodle on X-Files (and because most of the time), it should not be forgotten that it is only the tree that hides the forest. Because, behind, there, where it is really dark and where it feels rarely good, hides a real gem : Millennium.

When Chris Carter out of the series Millennium in 1996, the intention is clear : to capitalize on the popularity gained by X-Files (a real phenomenon), while dropping little by little into the horror human, the real, the one that hurts. With his character of Frank Black (played by the great Lance Henriksen), Millennium , therefore, will dwell on the grey areas of the human being, the serial killers, the suffering, the pain, being the most hardcore possible within the framework of a classic series. And it must be said that the result is the height because, even today, some of these episodes are among the more dreary than we’ve ever seen on television.

Inevitably, the success is not as huge as expected, but Carter stands firm, leaves with pay a new both in the plot millenarian in its second season, giving more space to the group Millennium, at the end of the world, the prophecies and the fantastic, all culminating in a final episode double absolutely traumatic. Probably what we’ve seen more crazy for 20 years on the small screen. Unfortunately, a season 3 has been ordered, trying to recreate the formula X Files, betraying everything that had been done previously and, quite logically, the series has not survived.

Yet, for all this time, you dream only of one thing, it is that the Millennium comes back. And we’re not the only ones, apparently, since Chris Carter himself comes to report to the micro of Deadline that he had thought long since to give him his chance :

“I’ve always thought that Millennium was a lot more life in him, but nobody has talked about it seriously. However, I’ve always had the impression that I had other stories to tell in this topic. After three seasons, the series has been cancelled while the hearings were correct, but I think that there is a new approach to this series to do, based on its foundations very strong.”

Does this mean that we will have the right to a revival of the show ? We are not expected to do it, but no matter how, and especially not without Lance Henriksen. So, fingers crossed for the return ofX-Files also brings us excellent news.
