We don’t know if you are aware but the X-series Files will resume service beginning January 2018 for an eleventh season, which could well be the last. And she will have to redouble its efforts to fully convince us.

When season 10 ofX Files was aired in early 2016, it was an old dream that became a reality. The return of agents Mulder and Scully was unhoped-for, after so many years of absence, and the result was not poorly divided. It should also be said that the format chosen was not the most appropriate for this comeback. 6 small episodes, it was far too little to the Cases that are Not Classified do not include their brands, especially as he still had to manage the famous Mythology which has no real meaning, since almost 20 years.

In the end, a season in a half-tent that was what was X-Files : episodes fantastic and others to the limit of the ridiculous, and which showed perfectly the limits of the concept. That said, although the diffusion had not exploded all the records, the public has responded sufficiently to this to that Fox decides to order a season 11, which will begin in the United States on the 3rd of January next. And with it, X Files is perhaps facing its greatest challenge : 10 episodes to convince everyone that she is still a very great series of it, giving finally to the public what he expects, and preparing for the true end of the story (plausible hypothesis since we know already that this will be the last season of Gillian Anderson).

While the wait becomes unbearable, the creator and showrunner of the series, Chris Carter, is finally expressed on the issue of season 10 when an interview with TV Line, where he assures us that this last was only a warm-up lap :

“We started all over again after an absence of almost 12 years. He had to relearn some things. It was a bit like old friends who finally found themselves. We had to somehow shake up the rigidity that had set in… but I think we are now all again in a great shape.”

And we’re not asking for that to believe it as the series to accompany our lives for many years. And we especially hope that with 10 episodes, this new season ofX Files will not be as frustrating as the previous one. Answer in a big month.
