On the 1st of January last, Marine Lorphelin and his companion were attacked in the middle of a street in Lyon, where lives the former Miss France, by an admirer of the visibly unbalanced. A few days later, the perpetrator has been provoked in Toulouse but his mental state was not considered to be compatible with a custody.

It is a scene of rare violence that took place in the evening of the 1st of January at a metro station close to the cours Albert-Thomas, Lyon 3rd. Marine Lorphelin, Miss France 2013, and its companion have been violently assaulted by an admirer of the former Miss. The companion has received several strokes of the knives, but, severely wounded in the face and hand, was quickly received first-aid by Marine Lorphelin, a student in sixth year in medicine.

The alleged perpetrator was apprehended by police a few days later in Toulouse. His condition was deemed incompatible with custody, the young man of 28-year-old student without a job, has been placed directly to the hospital of Vinatier in Lyon. According to the newspaper, The Progress, the young man would have recognized the facts. He should be indicted for attempted manslaughter by the investigating judge. The prosecutor has already requested a warrant of committal to ensure his incarceration based on his medical course.
