The Iris fiancé was one of the ancestors of Eobard Thawne, who is also known as Reverse-Flash, Barry’s worst enemy. At the end of the first season of The Flash , Eddie did not hesitate to sacrifice to remove his descendant to save Barry, Iris and other members of the Team.
