The Kensington Palace has just announced the good news : the royal couple is expecting a happy event. This new pregnancy for Kate Middleton is expected to be challenging since the duchess of Cambridge is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
After George and Charlotte, aged 4 and 2 years old, Kate Middleton and prince William will soon be parents of a third child. It is now official, the duchess of Cambridge is indeed pregnant after several weeks of rumors on the web. But as during her previous pregnancy, Kate Middleton is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum which causes significant nausea : ” The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to the hospital King Edward VII in central London, suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As she is pregnant for a very short time [she] should stay there for several days, and will need to rest after her stay at the hospital “, one can read in the press release sent by the Palace of Kensington.
Like many women at the beginning of their pregnancy, Kate Middleton is suffering from nausea and vomiting. But in 3% of cases, these disturbances are more severe and may be hazardous to the health of the mother and the baby. Kate Middleton is part of it. The symptoms of this disease are many : nausea and vomiting, but also the loss of weight, dehydration, imbalance in the body, hallucinations, dizziness, or even damage to liver and kidneys. This disease can last well after the first trimester of pregnancy. The causes and the origin of this pathology still remain unknown. For all that, according to a study cited by the Huffington Post, certain factors could cause these symptoms such as hunger, fatigue, or strong smells.
