The new series teenage-drama stamped, Netflix is arriving this weekend on our screens. The opportunity to do a small tour of the show with Guy Pearce.

Since his arrival in France on 15 September 2014, the streaming platform has continued to experience a meteoric rise. With nearly 125 million subscribers in the world (in the news), including 2.5 million in France, the American giant crashes to the tune of billions of dollars to its competitors and if necessary (for the time) as the supreme leader of the SVoD.

More than a service, Netflix has become a brand, a symbol. Necessarily, who is said to impact commercial said necessarily slogan, “Netflix & Chill”, but also new terms specifically invented for them, like the famous : “binge-watching.”

“And if it is just because I love the series ?”

Quickly and concretely to the binge-watching is a practice that is to shove an entire season, or even of the whole series, in a very (very) little time. A practice becoming more common characterized as an addiction. This was not really a connotation very positive to the ears of Netflix, and physicians. Better to say nothing. It is, in any case, what seems to confirm Guy Pearce, present in the show, The Innocents, at the microphone of Empire :

“I don’t think Netflix likes the term “binger”. When we did the promotion for the series The Innocents in the United States, we have somehow been told not to talk about “binge-watching”. “

One thing is not as surprising as it finally as the scientific studies that have rained down on this term became yet banal. According to reports, this trend of swallowing a series of entirely in a very short time to be intimately related to depression. ” The results show that those who are depressed look at a lot more programs “ had relayed the site NPR.

“We will find a solution don’t worry”
