The series ” the Mandalorian is going to bring back a droid killer.

Hard to know exactly when the first series of Disney + will land on our screens, but one thing is for sure, it is well and truly launched in the past few months. After the first image unveiled at the beginning of October and successive announcements of the actors who take part to the casting, The Mandalorian unfolds each week a little more.

And for Christmas, the showrunner Jon Favreau (Iron Man) has just decided to reveal the arrival of a character in Star Wars Episode V : The Empire strikes back, in a post to Instagram.

Thus, the biggest fans of the saga will be immediately recognized IG-88, a droid assassins and bounty hunters recruited by the Galactic Empire, and Darth Vader himself, to capture the crew of the Millenium Falcon. However, if the character will be back in the series since it was reconstituted, impossible to know for the moment if it will have a real role in the series or if it will be a simple cameo.

Verdict by the end of 2019 (in the best case) to the sides of Pedro Pascal, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Emily Swallow, or Werner Herzog and under the direction of Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard and Rick Famuyiwa, among others.
